The official event took place February 1. I was beyond ready, but Craig was dragging his feet. I think he was in denial about Merrick actually being old enough for a first haircut, and trust me, I was sort of there too. However, he was beginning to display a bit of a mullet look, and between that and the total of 10 teeth he has in his mouth he would fit in all too well with some of the folks at our local WalMart (give or take 9 teeth). After some polite agreement from friends/family that it was time, we took the plunge. He behaved perfectly. And why wouldn't he when he got to sit on Daddy's lap AND have a lollipop!
